Ancestral Quest is the only Genealogy Software program written for Windows to be built on the PAF database. The PAF (Personal Ancestral File®) genealogy program is an industry standard for DOS. Included in the program is it's Family Finder Index which lists more than 115 million people whose names appear in centuries of historical records. When you look up an ancestor's name, the Family Finder Index tells you which CD contains information about that person. Imports Kodak Photo CD, BMP, TIF, and OLE objects. Holds freeform stories in 15 "notes" pages per person. Includes a complete illustrated step-by-step user's manual and a Computerized Genealogy "How-to" Guide. Personal Ancestral File 2.31 for Mac and PC is the standard on which Family History is based. It is a software package you can use to record your genealogical information, organize your information into family groups and pedigrees, identify areas where additional research is needed, and keep track of information sources and the information they provided.
