SONOMA TWILIGHT CAMP
at Camp Via. July 27th - July 31st, 2009
We had a great time at Twilight Camp this year celebrating "Twilight at Sea" with the boys. Twilight Camp is scheduled from 4pm to 8pm Monday thru Friday with a Family Celebration on the Friday night with dinner, skits and campfire.
Camp Via is located in Glen Ellen, up in the hills behind the Sonoma Developmental Center. This is a great camp nestled in the hills with views and hiking open to Jack London State Park.
Watch for news about Twilight Camp 2010 coming soon!
Visit the Council Website for a listing of more Summer Camp Opportunities
Camp Masonite-Navarro
Among the redwoods in scenic Mendocino County, California—eight miles from the Pacific Ocean—Camp Masonite Navarro presents numerous opportunities for great times. Located on the beautiful Navarro River, just 70 miles northwest of Santa Rosa, Camp Masonite Navarro makes an ideal weekend destination for Bay Area and North Coast groups. Enjoy the Camp for its trails, rifle range, archery range, or nature study, or use it as a base camp for exploring the Mendocino coast.
Camp M-N will host Resident Camp (5 day camping) and Family Camps (Weekends with the entire family) during the summer months. Webelos Weekends are also hosted as well.
Camp Noyo
Camp Noyo is on the California Western Railroad Skunk Train line, between Willits and Fort Bragg. Camp Noyo is a small and rustic camp in the heart of the Jackson State Forest. Because of camp’s size, a maximum total capacity of 60 campers per session is permitted.
Camp Noyo will host a Webelos weekend each year that is a great experience for the Webelos as they begin to prepare for Boy Scouting.
Twilight Camp & Day Camp
A great introduction to the camping experience, the council will host several twilight and day camps throughout the region. Twilight camps are held in the evening hours generally from 4pm to 8pm and Day camps will generally be held from 9am to 3pm. Activities at these camps are geared to the boys age group and can include archery, outdoor cooking, rock climbing, swimming, crafts, leather work and sports.
