 Carol Marcus received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1979, and Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon in 1983. She is a licensed architect in California.

Prior to becoming a partner in Marcus and Willers Architects she was Project Architect / Project Designer for a variety of single and multi-family residences, the interior remodel of the Irwin Memorial Blood Bank in San Francisco and the tenant improvements for the Orchard Creek Medical Office Building in Mountain View. She participated in the development of the Alta Bates Ambulatory Treatment Center in Berkeley, Naval Medical/Dental Clinic on Treasure Island, Queens Medical Center Renovation in Honolulu and the Beringer Administration Building in St. Helena.

From 1988-1990 she was on the board of directors of the California Council of the American Institute of Architects. In 1992 she founded the Sonoma Toastmasters Public Speaking Club and was the Charter President. In 1992 she was appointed by the Mayor of Sonoma to the City's Architectural Review Commission, and is currently the acting chairperson. In 1995 she was selected as a member of the board of directors for Vineyard Workers Services and the Sonoma Ecology Center.

 William Willers received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California , Berkeley in 1984. He is a licensed architect in California.

Prior to becoming a partner in Marcus and Willers Architects he was Project Architect / Project Designer for a variety of residential projects. He was also Project Architect / Project Designer for the Beringer Administration Building in St. Helena, Califormia and Project Designer for the Naval Medical/Dental Clinic on Treasure Island, California, the Sacramento Community Hospital in Sacramento, California and the Washoe Medical Center Ambulatory Care Center and Medical office Tower in Nevada.
