Florida 2000

Florida 2000 was a 1 week vacation backed up with a work visit.
Karen and I did Orlando... Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.
Later I did Busch Gardens on my way to Sarasota.
All in All the following places were visited:
Magic Kingdon, EPCOT, MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon,
Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens Tampa.
There really wasn't time for SeaWorld, and Kracken wasn't open yet anyway.
I also had the opportunity to dip into the Gulf waters at Siesta Keys beach. Even nicer than my old hometown, Avila Beach, CA.

INTERESTING NOTES:
Test Track has a Singles Line that is often faster than the FastPass Option.
Many Rides Could Benefit from a Singles Line!
Men in Black has a Singles Line... Thank You Universal!
Dueling Dragons has the exit to the left of the entrance, right by the gift shop. We were not halted from entering in that direction. Also, Dueling Dragons ENCOURAGES you to take a shortcut to experience both rides. FastPass is at Disney and is an Excellent addition!
If you are from California, like we are, there is one thing that takes getting used to...
SMOKING!
Sadly seen were many teens and mothers, and except for the Disney Parks, smoking often in lines and ride queues posted with NO SMOKING signs.

These are a sampling of 500+ photos shot with my new Olympus C-2020 Z Digital Camera.
This camera replaces the Agfa 1280 that was damaged at Magic Mountain in April.
32mb Cards offered me 200 shots at 1024x768 at normal compression, 8mb cards 50 shots.
Early Entry Days:
At the Disney Parks Early Entry days are often the busiest. Might be OK to visit first thing but plan to leave early, relax and go to another park as it gets VERY crowded after mid-morning.
Universal Studios Parks were offering Early Entry for multiple-day pass holders. It is worth rising with the rooster for minimal waits, just plan on larger crowds and longer waits after later in the day (as well as warmer and humid conditions).
Animal Kingdom is the Earliest of all parks because that is when the animals are up and doing things. Official opening might be 8am but I hear that people are waiting at 6am to go in.
The Safari is always first and gets crowded early no matter what. Another interesting thing is that D.A.K. appears to be the most crowded, maybe because walkways are narrower, or although it is the largest in acreage, much of that is the Savanah.
Kai River Rapids will cool you off when it gets warm!
